Frequently asked
Can I edit a document online without signing up?
Yes. SlimDoc opens directly in your browser with no account and no email. You start typing on a real A4 page immediately, and nothing is uploaded.
Is my document uploaded to a server?
No. The entire editor runs locally in your browser. Your text, images and saved file stay on your device, and it works offline.
What format does it save in?
It saves one self-contained .html file with all styling inlined. There is no proprietary format. That single file renders and prints correctly in any browser and re-opens straight back into the SlimDoc editor.
How do I get a PDF?
Switch to Preview mode and use Print → PDF, which runs through your browser's native print dialog. The export is faithful, with backgrounds, headers, footers and page numbers all resolved.
Is it really free, with no watermark?
Yes. SlimDoc is free, with no sign-up and no watermark on your export.
Can I re-open and keep editing a file later?
Yes. The saved .html file opens straight back into the editor. On Chromium browsers SlimDoc can save back to the same file in place; other browsers use a download and re-open fallback.
